Hello, I’m Evan Robel, a fine art photographer from and currently based out of Pacific Grove, CA. I began my journey in photography in a traditional darkroom course during high school. I immediately fell in love with the process. From here I continued to photograph on black and white film but primarily focused on digitally capturing the coastline and ocean of the Monterey peninsula. I went on to earn my associate's and bachelor's degrees in art at UCSC. During this time I refined my printing and came to love the process of large format film photography. I used this process to capture intimate landscape scenes and highlight the intricacies that usually go unseen. This is my primary focus today. Capturing the overlooked and undervalued.
